Resolution
A market resolves when the underlying question has a final outcome. Resolution is recorded on-chain so that payouts and redemptions can be enforced by the program.
What happens at resolution
Once a market is resolved, the winning outcome is determined. Winning positions can be redeemed; losing positions do not have redemption value.
Redeeming
Redeeming typically exchanges winning outcome shares for collateral from the market’s vaults.
Data sources
Some price-based markets may use on-chain oracle data such as Pyth price feeds. Other markets may depend on official sources, published rules, and manual review. Each market should identify its resolution source before trading opens.
Disputes and delays
Resolution can be delayed if the source is unavailable, the rules are disputed, the market needs a correction, or an operational pause is in effect. Check the market’s terms for cancellation, revision, and dispute handling.
