2026 midterm election predictions: House, Senate and key races

The 2026 U.S. midterm elections are on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are on the ballot, along with 35 Senate seats (including special elections) and 36 governorships.

This page gathers the open Norynta questions on the midterms: which party will control the House and the Senate, the overall balance of power, and individual Senate and governor races, each with its current odds and a link to the full question and its settlement rules.

Many of these questions are imported from Kalshi or Polymarket and settle from the source's official result. Where no Norynta player has forecast yet, the odds shown are the source's and are labelled that way. Nothing here is Norynta's view of who will or should win.

Control of Congress

Which party holds the House and the Senate after the election.

Senate and governor races

Individual races, soonest to close first.

Combined questions

Each of these pairs the event with a second, unrelated condition. Both must happen for Yes, so the odds are not the odds of the event alone.

How these questions settle

Each question settles from its source's official result (Kalshi or Polymarket for imported questions). Rules and sources are on each question's page.

“Crowd” odds come from trades by Norynta players. “Odds from Kalshi/Polymarket” means no Norynta player has forecast that question yet, so its price is the source market's.

Questions

Will the Democratic Party control the House after the 2026 Midterm elections?
No Norynta player has forecast this yet, so the price is the one it opened at from Polymarket: Yes 91%. Open the question to make the first forecast and to read its settlement rules. Play money only; this is not a prediction by Norynta.
Will the Republican Party control the House after the 2026 Midterm elections?
No Norynta player has forecast this yet, so the price is the one it opened at from Polymarket: Yes 10%. Open the question to make the first forecast and to read its settlement rules. Play money only; this is not a prediction by Norynta.
When is the 2026 midterm election?
Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Polls close at different times in different states, and close races can take days to count; a few states hold a runoff later if no candidate wins a majority. Each question settles under its own rules once its source declares a result.
What does it take to control the House or the Senate?
A House majority takes 218 of the 435 seats. The Senate has 100 seats: 51 is a majority, and in a 50–50 split the Vice President's tie-breaking vote decides control. The exact definition each question uses is in its rules; open the question to read them.
How do these questions settle?
Imported questions settle from Kalshi's or Polymarket's official settlement of the same market; the source and rule are shown on each question's page. Once questions settle, this page lists them under Results with the outcome.
What are the combined questions?
Some source markets pair an election outcome with an unrelated condition, such as an oil price. Yes needs both to happen, so their odds are not the odds of the election result alone. They are listed separately at the bottom of the page.
Why do some questions say “odds from Polymarket” or “odds from Kalshi”?
Many questions here are imported from Kalshi or Polymarket. They open at the source's price, and until a Norynta player forecasts, that is the only price there is, so it is labelled as the source's odds rather than a Norynta crowd forecast. Once players forecast, the price reflects their trades and is labelled “Crowd”.
Is this real money or betting?
No. Norynta is a free forecasting game that uses play credits only. There are no deposits, no withdrawals and nothing to cash out; credits have no cash value. The odds show what forecasters on Norynta (or, before anyone has forecast, the source market) currently price, not a prediction by Norynta.
