Resolves to the level containing the highest of the eight 3-hour planetary K-index (Kp) values for Saturday, October 17 (2026-10-17), 00:00 to 24:00 UTC, as published by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center at services.swpc.noaa.gov. Levels: Quiet is below 2.5 (Kp 2+ or lower); Unsettled is 2.5 to below 3.5 (Kp 3-, 3, 3+); Active is 3.5 to below 4.5 (Kp 4-, 4, 4+); Storm is 4.5 or higher (Kp 5- or higher). Trading closes when 2026-10-17 begins (00:00 UTC). The result is read 3 hours after the day ends and can be challenged for a few hours before payout; later revisions, including GFZ Potsdam's definitive Kp, are not applied. If SWPC has not published all eight values for the day, or the data is unavailable for 72 hours after trading closes, the market is voided and credits are refunded.
